Legacy Middle Theater Channels Sherlock Holmes

Audiences followed the legendary genius detective and his new apprentice in Legacy Middle's show, Sherlock Holmes and the First Baker Street Irregular.

The show, including stage management, lights, sound, mics, projections, costumes and performance, was completely run by students. Students also helped build the set.

"I have enjoyed seeing students enter an imaginative world that requires deduction, reasoning and critical thinking," said LMS theater director Kaleb Stone. "I am a firm believer that middle schoolers are capable of so much more than people lead them to believe. They simply need the opportunity. Within this production, they have taken that opportunity and run with it. Through this production, we hoped to encourage audiences to look at the world the way Sherlock Holmes might, approach problems with an open mind, be selective about what you believe, and always embrace the journey."
