Elementary Students Walk to School

Students at Lipscomb and Mill Creek elementary schools enjoyed their annual Walk to School Days right before Fall Break.

Both walks were western-themed, so students and their families donned their cowboy hats and flannel shirts before starting the trek to their school buildings.

"I often talk about the three aspects of being healthy," said MCES Health and Wellness teacher Nancy Rose. "The first is physical health, which is why we're here walking. The second is mental health, and walking helps improve your mood before you get to school. The third is social health, and we had so many people here this morning. I've enjoyed talking to everyone, and we're so happy they were here."
