Williamson County Schools Thank Veterans in a Variety of Ways

Students around the district showed their appreciation for the nation's veterans by participating in programs, parades and more.

North Elementary, Bethesda Elementary, Brentwood Middle, Chapman's Retreat Elementary, Edmondson Elementary, Grassland Elementary, Heritage Elementary, Hillsboro School, Hunters Bend Elementary, Kenrose Elementary and Mill Creek Elementary. Photos from the Veterans Day parade in downtown Franklin, which included several Williamson County schools, are also featured.

"We're celebrating the veterans and active military in our community," said GES music teacher Christy Summey. "Our Grassland Elementary Eagle Chorus, made up of fourth and fifth-grade students, performed. We would like to send our gratitude and thanks to the veterans and active military who protected and are protecting our freedoms here in this country and around the world."
