Students at Independence High closed out the week before Fall Break with their annual homecoming parade on October 6.

The freshman, sophomore, junior and senior classes created floats representing cities across the United States including Hollywood, New York and Nashville. The parade traveled down Highway 31 to Heritage elementary and middle schools before returning to campus, where other students were waiting to enjoy the festivities.

The IHS Eagles defeated the Fairview High Yellow Jackets 31-7 at the homecoming game that evening.
