The Summit High theater department's production of The Lost Boy took audiences on a trip to Neverland.

The show explores how Peter Pan came to be and follows James Barrie as he comes to terms with his brother's death. SHS theater director Annie Rice says this particular show was more theatrical than performances they've done in the past.

"It was incredibly emotionally demanding for the actors," Rice said. "The creative process for this one became a team event with all of my cast contributing ideas, trying new things and trusting themselves to really push forward as actors. From a teaching perspective, that is so much more rewarding than just telling them what to do and how to do it."

The Lost Boy ran October 19-22.
