Welcome to the Edmondson Library and Media Center
-
The library is part of the specials rotation at Edmondson. Students come to the library every six days for 45-minute lessons. While at the library, students participate in interactive lessons on literature, digital citizenship, and research. The library is also open to students during the school day for book check-outs and returns.

Mission Statement
The mission of the library media program is to ensure that all members of our school community have equal access to our print and non-print materials, develop a lifelong love of reading, and become effective users of information and technology.
-

Students may check out the following number of books per grade level: Kindergarten – one book, First and Second – two books, Third through Fifth – three books. A student may exchange one or all books per visit. Books can be renewed one time with the exception of chapter books or project related materials. Books are due within two weeks if not renewed.

Explorer Books
Celebrate your child and support our wonderful EES library! Your child will have the opportunity to choose their favorite from a selection of newly purchased books during library time. A personalized nameplate will be placed inside the front cover, and your child will be the first to check out the book. As long as that book is in the library, it will bear the name of the student who donated it. The children really enjoy choosing their books and see their names inside them.
