Dear Oak View Families,
I am honored to be principal of Oak View Elementary. I am honored to lead a school that is known far and wide for its dedication to excellence, to children, and the community.
Over the past fifteen years, I have worked as a teacher and administrator, both in Tennessee and Florida. Being the assistant principal of Oak View from 2013 to 2018 allowed me the opportunity to develop strong academic relationships with students, staff, and the community. I am grateful to continue to build upon these relationships and to celebrate Oak View’s many successes.
I encourage your children every day and let them know that they are valued. I reiterate that they each have a special place in our school community. My goal is to ensure that all children are healthy, happy, and safe, so they may grow to become productive citizens of our great nation. This has been my philosophy since I began my teaching career in 2004. I worked in West Palm Beach and Fort Myers, Florida, for nine years. There, I began teaching third, fourth, and fifth grades. After completing my sixth year as an elementary educator, I became the assistant principal of Varsity Lakes Middle School and served that community for three years.
I then moved to Franklin, Tennessee, in 2013 with my family. At that point, I was granted the great privilege of becoming the assistant principal here at Oak View. While serving students at Oak View has brought me great joy, my greatest achievement comes not professionally, but personally. I am the mother of three beautiful children. People often say I treat all children in my school as if they were my own. Please know, I work tirelessly to ensure all children have the best possible experiences while here at Oak View.
In closing, I am so thankful to be the principal at Oak View Elementary. I look forward to continuing to work collaboratively with our school community. I am proud to build upon the many traditions that make Oak View an outstanding learning environment.
