We provide developmentally appropriate activities through purposeful, creative, and enjoyable instruction. By incorporating challenging yet achievable tasks, the students will attain positive attitudes about physical activity and movement.
Throughout the year, students are taught a variety of games to increase their physical stamina and strength. They are taught the skills of tennis, football, basketball, volleyball and more.
-
Music
Music is a vital part of the Oak View story. In class, students are able to experience and play a variety of instruments while also tapping into their vocal repertoire.
-
Art
Art is an engaging course that students eagerly participate in each week. While learning basic and abstract techniques, students are able to tap into their artistic side to design masterpieces.
Students learn skills that develop each year, studying topics including color, shape, form, perspective, shading, and more. At the end of each year, students proudly display their favorite piece at the Oak View Fine Arts Night.
-
Library
Once during each week, students have a library class. During this time, students hear stories, learn about library skills, practice study skills, and also explore STEAM activities. Children have the opportunity to check out books to share with their families.
