Early Release Dates
Elementary schools will participate in Early Release Days 11 Wednesdays during the school year. On those days, elementary schools will release 113 minutes early. Seven extra minutes will be added to each school day to implement the early release schedule. These days will provide teachers within their Professional Learning Communities, PLCs, the opportunity to focus on improving student academic outcomes through common planning, development of common assessments, analysis of student mastery of specific standards, etc.
- Buses and car lines will operate at dismissal.
- Students who can’t be picked up on early release days can remain at school until the regular release time, and schools will provide supervision through homework club, individual reading time, etc.
- A second round of elementary bus routes will run after the secondary school bus routes are completed, leaving on the same schedule as regular school days.
- SACC hours will continue on the regular schedule.

SOAR into Student Academic Achievement with a Free Game of Mini-Golf
Williamson County Schools (WCS) Coordinated School Health Program is proud to announce an exciting program with SOAR Adventure where students can earn a free game of mini-golf.
Elementary students have many opportunities this year to earn free games of mini-golf. Students who achieve a letter grade of “A” in any one subject on their report card and/or are recognized by a staff member earn a free game of mini golf to be redeemed any time before June 30, 2024 at SOAR Adventure in Franklin. This is also true for students in Kindergarten and first grade who receive either a “3” or an “S” in any area of their report card. Students will receive a "ticket" to take to SOAR Adventure to be redeemed for the free game. One parent or guardian must be with the student or group of up to 5 total students. Parents or guardians do not have to play if they do not want to, and there is no charge if they do not play. If they want to play, they can pay the adult fee and play along with the students. Students will have the opportunity to win up to up to 4 free games, one per grading period!
All students who received a SOAR card from the first grading period can now use the cards again for the second grading period since there are four opportunities to use the card during this school year, one per each quarter.
