The mission of the Mill Creek Elementary School Library is to provide equal access to materials and resources to our students that will support the school’s curriculum and encourage the love of reading. Our goal is that students will become independent library users of information & technology while also developing into life-long learners with a love of reading.

Library Schedule
Library is a related arts class that follows the color day specials rotation. Students will participate in a lesson, activity, and book checkout during each class. Students will also have the opportunity to check out books during Guidance classes.
CheckoutStudents in Grades 1-5 may check out (2) books at a time. Kindergarten students check out (1) book.Overdue BooksWhile there is no fine for overdue books, checkout privileges may be suspended until the late book is returned.Lost/Damaged BooksA $5.00 fee will be charged for any book that is lost or damaged beyond repair. This fee is waived if a family replaces the lost or damaged book with a hardcover copy in good condition. -

Mill Creek Elementary has a tradition of hosting 2 book fairs per year. These exciting events raise funds for new library books and materials. Your support of these events make a
tremendous impact on increasing our library collection with more materials for your students to enjoy! -

The Mill Creek Elementary School library has over 11,000 fiction and nonfiction books, reference materials, DVD's, and other materials available for use by our students and staff. We provide resources and recreational reading materials that enable our students to become both information literate and lifelong readers. Educational technology and professional materials are also available for faculty and staff.
