The Nolensville High School Counseling Center is here to assist you with your College and Career Planning needs. Every student should leave NHS ready for the next stage. For our students who are college-bound, the counseling staff can assist with preparing for testing, completing college applications, and seeking out financial aid.

College Planning for TN Students
If you or your student are wondering how to start planning for college, the district is sharing a useful resource.
The College for TN website has useful information about college planning, including guides for ninth through twelfth-grade students and a new guide for middle school students. The website's Money for College tab also provides information about financial aid, the FAFSA and more.
It's never too early to start planning. Contact District School Counseling Specialist Molly O'Neal or the NHS Counseling Office with any questions.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Students and their families may now complete the 2024-25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Most federal and state financial aid programs, including the Tennessee Promise, require the completion of the FAFSA. The College for TN website is making it easy by providing a guide, video walkthroughs and more. There is also an overview of 2024-25 FAFSA changes.
To remain eligible for the Tennessee Promise, the FAFSA must be completed by May 15, 2024.

NCAA Initial-Eligibility
The NCAA Initial-Eligibility Clearinghouse is the organization that determines whether prospective college athletes are eligible to play sports at NCAA Division I or Division II institutions. If you aspire to be a student-athlete in college, you must register with the NCCA Clearinghouse and meet the stated requirements.
In order to be cleared by the NCAA you must meet certain academic requirements: complete 16 core courses, have a minimum GPA of 2.3 (for D1) or 2.2 (for D2) in those core courses, and meet the minimums of the sliding scale in your combination of core course GPA and SAT/ACT test scores.

Tennessee HOPE Scholarship
The Tennessee HOPE Scholarship Program provides scholarship and grant assistance to Tennesseans attending eligible Tennessee postsecondary institutions. The purpose of the program is to provide access for Tennesseans to post-secondary education, to improve high school and collegiate academic achievement, to keep more of the best and brightest students in Tennessee, and to provide social and economic benefits to the state of Tennessee.

Tennessee Promise
High school seniors in Tennessee may apply for theTennessee Promise scholarship, which will provide two years of tuition-free attendance at a community or technical college in Tennessee.

Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation (TSAC)
The Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation administers over 20 different state student financial aid programs, including the HOPE scholarship, Tennessee Promise, Tennessee Reconnect, Tennessee Student Assistance Award, and the Dual Enrollment grant.

Transcript Requests
Online Requests
Class of 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and current students may request their transcript online through the Order a Transcript website. Simply follow the steps:
- Select the “Start” button.
- Select Nolensville High School, Nolensville, TN as the sending institution.
- Follow the instructions to enter student identifying information.
- Make sure to select “End of Term" under "Urgency".
- Select the receiving institution. If you haven’t made a final decision yet, you may select multiple schools.
- Review your transcript order.
- Enter your customer information. The email address you provide will be used to provide tracking information on your transcript order.
- Submit your order.
- Make a note of the tracking number(s) to check on your transcript request and verify when the receiving institution receives the transcript. Keep in mind, it still may take the receiving institution a week or two to accept and process your transcript.
Important Notes:
- Your grades will not be finalized until right before graduation.
- Test scores are not included with transcripts. Test scores must be sent from the testing agency (ACT/ SAT).
Requests for a Paper Copy
If you need a paper copy of your academic transcript sent to a college or university, follow these steps:
- Print and complete the NHS Transcript Request Form. Make sure to include the address of the recipient.
- Mail or drop off your request to the NHS Counseling Department. You may enclose the $2.00 processing fee or pay for your transcript on the SchoolCashOnline portal.
- Please allow 3-5 business days for your request to be processed.
