Summit High Celebrates Fine Arts

    Summit High will celebrate the arts during its Fine Arts Week starting May 6.

    Throughout the week, students will participate in different themed dress-up days and staff will showcase their talents. Each evening, the community will be invited to enjoy student performances and events.

    On Monday, May 6, the SHS choir will perform at 7 p.m. in the theater. On Tuesday, May 7, the SHS jazz band concert will take place at 7 p.m. in the theater. 

    On Wednesday, May 8, the community is invited to attend the art show in the library and commons from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. The art show will feature work from surrounding feeder schools, live demonstrations and musical entertainment from SHS students.

    The SHS orchestra will perform on Thursday, May 9, at 7 p.m. in the theater. On Friday, May 10, a piano recital will take place at 6 p.m. Finally, on May 13-14, one-act plays will be performed at 7 p.m.

    There is no cost to attend any of the events.
